The Chocolate Tour - an artisan subscription box

It's been a bit quiet around here lately - most of that is the fault of these adorable little rascals:

They always want to "help" me bake... It's fun, but not helpful!
As well as chasing after my munchkins, I've been setting up a new business. I figured I should tell you about it, since, as a reader of this blog, there's a good chance you're also a chocolate fan.

You'll know from the odd obsessive post I've written over the years that chocolate is definitely a subject I'm passionate about, and a little while back I was wishing I could buy a subscription to receive a range of high-quality chocolates each month. After quite a bit of searching, I decided that what I was looking for didn't exist... So I've decided to start it myself.

It's called The Chocolate Tour, and here's how it'll work: each month, subscribers get a box. Inside the box will be a range of different chocolate products that fit that month's theme, along with tasting notes and info about each item. There will be craft chocolate bars, filled chocolates, truffles, flavoured bars... Lots of amazing artisan chocolate. It's basically a tour of New Zealand's best chocolatiers, but from the comfort of your home.

The website is still under development, but it should be ready in the next couple of weeks, and in the meantime you can join the mailing list and get yourself in the draw to win a month's subscription, and we're also on Facebook and Instagram.

So that's what's keeping me busy - how about you? Any great cakey discoveries lately? Or even better, chocolatey ones? ;-)

  1. Oh yes, but oh no, but oh yes, yes, yes. I guess the "yesses" have it, this time!

    1. Haha, I hear you loud and clear, Megan. ;-) Not sure if it's a wise choice for me to curate it either but boy are there some amazing chocolatiers making beautiful things in our fair country. :-D
